This annual event brings together breast health education and community engagement in one place. Because early detection saves lives, attendees will be able to receive clinical breast screenings onsite. In fact, a few screenings at our event last year led to referrals for further examination, which is a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Northwell’s cancer genetics team will also be onsite to discuss cancer risk assessment, and a member of the Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) program will be tabling with resources.
Please note, we've expanded to include resources for women of all ages. Young women are also encouraged to attend, so they can also walk away with valuable information about their health. This event is open to the public and registration is free. Registration to the event to schedule a screening is available by scanning the QR code on the flyer. Walk-ins can sign up on site.
Once our event wraps up, we invite everyone to stay for the Village of Hempstead’s Breast Cancer Awareness Program, beginning at 6:00 PM.
